TC,
I'm appalled at what the Serie A team has done to Ahn, the racist SOB's have fired him for doing his job. FIFA should do something about it, although I'm just not sure what.

I would agree entirely that it is racist etc.
However, if you think about it, they probably just did him a huge favour as he can no doubt negotiate a much better contract elsewhere, without having to be bought out from his old club.

Henrik,
I don't disagree with you, but Gaucci just lost millions in transfer money because he's an idiot. Bad business, bad judgement, bad! Ahn will come out smelling like roses for sure, but the Italians are looking like someone shit in their pesto.

Couldn't agree more da silva! And if Gaucci lost millions of transfer money, serves the racist pig right!! How wonderful football can be... Maybe I should provide my thoughts about how games are being ruled. Naa, I'm in too good of a mood to get in to that now...

Well Perugia isn't the smartest team in the Calcio for sure. And they are claiming that the reason they dismissed him is that when he got to the club, he didn't have any money and now he's rich thanks to them; So "obviously" he shoud have not scored against the Italian team. the litte ungrateful SOB.
What a crock of shit if you ask me!!!!! I am sure Perugia has not heard the end of this one, and I really hope that Korean dude finds a better team. Besides, an ultradefensive team like Italy deserved to lose. They have the talent to be as aggressive as they want but they don't use it.

Yeah this is really bad. Hell the Canadians beat the USA at home for the gold medal and we don't hold a grudge. Instead of looking at teh real problem (italy loosing) they shift the blame in a way that is nuts. I hope this guy get his money and goes to another team making more money and scores a winning goal against this italian squad in italy. So he can do a big F-you as he leaves the feild.

I haven't been so off my chair since argentina vs england in 98! wow! USA played really well too, my heart was in my mouth for half the game! Kahn was amazing!that guy is superhuman i swear! it would have been funny if the USA had advanced though (yeah i would have been pissed off) but half their team wouldn't have been alloud to play the next game cause of all those yellow cards!lol! anyways back to bed with me, i'm very pleased! ;D

It is a shame... such a good run by England- on a good day England could have beat Brazil and won the cup... its about time England won it back! Oh well... Despite having strong German conections (being over 1/4 German myself)- I can't allow myself to cheer for them in the Semi Finals... they do afterall still call Michael Schumacher their own native son! anyways back to bed with me, i'm very pleased! ;D Now Dani, don't you spread rumours like that! I was never in Bed with you!

Well, I can't say that I'm displeased with the results. And I'd like to add that Ronaldinho Gaucho did NOT deserve a red card. FUcking ref!!!!!

Hell no he didn't!!!! He deserved a yellow card at most, but that foul was not worthy of a red card by any stretch of the imagination.

Oh boy, I'm sure I'm going to get blasted for this, but....
LOL, I swear I'm tripping out on this World Cup stuff. This morning, I got up, went to work out & on the way home heard on the radio that Germany had just scored a goal & was leading the US 1 to zip. I thought to myself:
"Racer, (ok, I really don't call myself racer...LOL) why don't you become a little more open minded and watch a soccer match this morning. You can pull for your country and maybe even learn something. Go ahead, give it a try, give it a fair chance & maybe you can actually be a fan."
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I went home & turned on ESPN to watch the last half of Germany vs. USA. Well, after watching the entire last half of the game, all I can say is I'm still frusterated & what a bunch of Drama Queens.
For the sake of this post, try to imagine a compass overlaid on the field. North & South would be the goals, while East & West would be the side lines. OK, admittedly, I know jack sh*t about footie, so here's my frustration:
The clock was obviously running up (down-LOL)..oh hell, the USA team was running out of time....that's another problem...how can time run down, when it's actually adding up? LOL. Back to the point: The US team is running out of time, and everytime they got the ball they started moving it East & West instead of going North to the goal! I'm thinking, hey guys...you're running out of time here, kick the freaking ball TOWARDS the goal, not back & forth across the field.
They were obviously trying to set up a "play", but come on...you've tried doing that for 75 minutes & you're scoreless...so start kicking the damned ball towards the goal, maybe something good will happen?? Wow, imagine that...90 minutes is up...and they're STILL PLAYING!!! Something about "approximately 3 minutes of stoppage from the previous half?? What? If it was stoppage, why didn't you just stop the freaking clock?
Oh well, I'm stupid & I'm trying to see the "mystery" of it all...so back to the game:
At that point, they finally became desperate & started kicking the ball towards the goal. I'm thinking alright, at least you have a shot at it...
Wuff.
Another form of frustration: I noticed the German players probably averaged three inches more height on the US team. Well, then WHY would you consistanly keep the ball high, infront of the net? These guys will out-head you everytime!!!! Hello...McFly...anybody home?? Shit, I don't even play tis game & I figured that one out, but not the US coach. The guys kept setting it up fof headers....I'm wondering if they should rename the sport Headball, instead of Football?? Damned people, KICK it in....KICK the freaking ball!!!
Oh well, that pretty much summed up my first ever viewing of soccer. I'd call it by it's REAL name, but over here that (football) has a different meaning, and it'd almost be insulting to compare the two.
If a football(US version) player in the States whined after a play, he'd get his head knocked off on the very next one for sure. I couldn't believe the Drama Queens out there today.
I know, I know, it's all in getting a foul called on your opponent, but please. One minute a guy's down grabbing his ankle like it'd been snapped in two places. He's writhing about in what appears to be excruciating pain.....then with-in seconds he sees the ref isn't going to call a foul so he immediately hopes up and goes complaining to the ref. Hey, hey, easy there buddy, you might reinjure that broken ankle...LOL!
Jeeze.....I tried, but as of now...I doubt I'll be watching anymore soccer. For me it's alot like baseball: Funner than hell to play, harder than hell to watch.
Oh well, I guess I have another four years to think about it, then yet again I'll be bombarded with "World Cup" adds, and sure enough...maybe I'll give it one more chance. Until then, thank God for F1!
LOL, RacerX
Written with alot of tongue in cheek.....be easy guys, but right now I'd rather take what's about to come over watching another game of footie...any day of the week. ;-)
