MAn i wish football Hooligan would try that with LA Raider fans. It would easily stop that crap in a hurry. Man it is a fucking soccer game, and people treat it like it is there life. This is one reason why i could care less for soccer. I swear shoot the holligans, that will stop all this crap.

Tough matches ahead Srrh...
Belgium playing Brazil in round 2 (I think)... Both excellent teams!
And if Belgium beat Brazil they're going to play England or Denmark in the Quarter Finals, 2 more very capable teams...
AND THEN IF THEY WIN THAT- they most likely play Sweden in the Semi's (Sweden should have a comparably easy task ahead to the Semi's.)
If Belgium win the World Cup this year- they will DEFINATELY have earned it!
Anyhow- good luck against Brazil! Perhaps our nations will play in the Quarter Finals together!

Well... Both Belgium and Sweden are going home....
I thought Senegal was a good team- but I thought Sweden would beat them and go all the way to the semi-finals...
I think Senegal is in for Africa's first Semi Final match now!
As for who will join them- England or Brazil- tough call... Usually Brazil would win the encounter- but on a GOOD day England CAN beat Brazil... they'll have to play better than they did against Denmark and Nigeria though!
Sorry about Belgium Srrh- it would have been a tough match for any team... I hope England can beat Brazil to avenge them for you!!!
My prediction.
Semi Finals:
Spain Or Italy (if I have to pick one how about Spain) VS Germany Sengal Vs Brazil
Finals:
Brazil Vs Spain 1-0 to Brazil

Wycco,
I thought your confidence in the Swedish team was a bit misplaced. Oh well...
I would love it if a "small" team like Senegal made it to the semis.
For the rest, I'll have to side with greg...España!

Wycco, I thought your confidence in the Swedish team was a bit misplaced. I don't think so... I'm still surpised Sengal won- not to discredit them! Had Sweden beat Senegal- it would have been Japan or Turkey in the Quarters- Japan may be on a roll- but I can't see Sweden falling to T3's 2nd favorite nation!

Well, after seeing one of the wierdest world cups so far, I don't even know who to root for anymore.
BUt let's see...Spain of course is very high on my list. They always have a great team but for some reason they always seem to choke in the world cup (sorry greg...it's true).
Italy and England are still in it. But I am really not a fan of either. Italy knocked Brazil out in 1982 with 3 goals by Paolo Rossi. That's the first memory I have of a soccer match and I was cheering for Brazil so f*ck the italians (besides, they've got that awful red team in F1). And while I have nothing against England, they did beat us in the France 98 world cup so I can't cheer for them.
Today the US managed to beat Mexico in a god-awful game. 3 clear opportunities for the US and they cashed in on 2. Remarkable efficiency. But I stand by my earlier post: a team that has to rely on fast breakaways and that plays so defensively does not deserve to win. Don't get me wrong: I have nothing against the US and I am happy they are doing well simply because we MIGHT get more soccer coverage here. But their style of play is awful! And Mexico....all I have to say is: if you are going to lose, might as well do it honorably. Mexico didn't.
And then there's Brazil. I must admit I wasn't cheering for them when the cup started. The Brazilians had an awful qualifying and I was sure they would lose in the first or second round. They were playing really really bad. But they came together as a team and they are pretty much dominating anyone who plays them. And they are the only south american team left so....
I guess I'll just sit and watch the rest of the games. I'm hoping for Brazil or Spain to win. Preferably Spain I suppose...gotta break the spell.

Man if the USA wins it will be the biggest dud in World Cup history. Nobody really cares about Soccer here and if we win it will basically be no big deal.

explitive!
EXPLITIVE!
Brasil did not deserve to win that game! I just hope that senegal dont cock up and lose to japan/turkey.
All my support goes to spain and senegal. Senegal for being one of the most united teams of the world cup and having the most spirit(aside from some remarkable talent; Coly etc) And Spain because they deserve a break, how many times have they come through a swathe of opponents to fall short of glory... um... GO CAMEROON!!!
...what?

Aye, nothing against the US- I like it here- and I do have some loyalty here... But- any country that despises Football so much- like most people in the US do- doesn't deserver to win the World Cup... they don't even deserve to be where they are... It will be a huge blow to justice if they win: but I don't think they will- However this world cup has been all about the underdog so it is a possibility!

Wycco- that is exactly what i am saying. I admit the sport is boring and i can't see the reason to riot after games. If soccer went full check you would have a game
