hmmmm
cant wait for the brazil game tomorrow!!! WOOOHOOO
I'm not a big footty fan myself, but yes, World cup fever gets me too, but it only really gets going for me when Brazil start playing, yes its not like every game is really that great, but its kind of like the Belgian GP, or is it? its just such a talented footballing nation, well, I dont know, they just usually have that extra something, that, actually, I've just realised, they have some of the sexiest fans, yes thats what it is!
Oh yea, I usually cheer for England, so long as the hooligans are keeping quiet!

Well,
I know I'm a few days behind but the reaction in England was awesome. Frankly the Argies were more than a little agressive and England totally deserved to win. Of all the games I've watched it was by far the best, although it was good watching the USA beat Portugal. ;D

I just can't resist commenting on the fact that France just lost out in the first round of the world cup!!
:Bounce:
Living as a close neighbour to France, we have been hearing now for 4 years how they are the world champs, and that they are the best, and that they will win again etc....
Not one single goal scored!!
France, you are the weakest link, goodbye!
Way to go Denmark.

HEAR HEAR.... THIS ONES FOR DENMARK!!!! Now imagine this flag is inverted: There Denmark- I'm even flying a flag for you- sure the colours are slightly off- and the cross isn't off centre- but its the nearest thing I have for you at the moment!!!! How great is that- France LOST 2 out of 3 games!!!! They wern't deserving championship winners in '98- they drew their way to the finals- good to see them lose... Things will really shake up if neither Argentina or France make round 2!!! Who would be the most likely to succeed then? Brazil? Spain? S.Korea?

GOOD GOD.... It looks like Italy might be out next!!!! (match isn't over yet though!) That only leaves Brazil and Spain as the major MAJOR players left in the running... This has to look good for the countries that made it through! C'mon England- gotta make it! Denmark are going to be missing some of their best- so England has to be the favorites to play Brazil in the Quarter finals... NOW THAT will be a match not to miss! ....OK Just looked back- ITALY is through! they took back a goal against Mexico and Ecuador scored against Croatia!

yeah italy through - which is a big relief for our italian precinct in melbourne - which copped a battering much like their football team a coupla days ago...not quite shades of Russia but certainly a friendly exchange of cafe tables and flaming missiles.
luckily our argentinian, nigerian and equadorian neighbourhoods are devoid of such ubiquitous and unbridled sporting passion...
so who do the schufosi support in the footy...?
