Yes, seeing a bankrupt team in the finals would be nice

Well, and then there were 2 ... . Ottawa had everything a team needed to win the Conference Final over NJ save for the one intangible: Playoff Experience. It was a good game though ... pretty close till NJ's 3rd goal late in the game. I don't even want to try to guess how NJ will match up against the Duck's, but something tells me the final round is going to be a snoozer (and would have been even if Ottawa had won). CFF

Man broaduer lost that 3rd game for NJ. He let in 2 very weak goals. I am glad, and hopefully we get a series out of it.

Game 6 ROCKED !! Even if I had to listen to it via an Internet Radio feed *thank gawd for technology*. Am out in the beautiful interior of BC (Shuswap Lake) ... so TV is not an option here. I won't be so forward as to suggest WHO will will the 7th game ... 'course there are those that will say NJ has the advantage as neither team has lost at home. I will say that I'm pulling for the Duck's .... I'd like nothing better than to see the 'weak, upstart, expansion franchise' beat the far more experianced Devils. Whoever wins ... it was a far better Stanley Cup Final than I'd ever could have imagined. Wuff (sorry Rx ... had to borrow that phrase) ... time to grab a COLD Canadian and get back to the +30C weather ..... CFF

;D Well only 4 more hours until the 7th and deciding game of the SC *Stanley Cup* final. While my heart is now with the DUCKS , my head tells me experience (and that hometeam advantage) will see the DEVILS prevail. Hoping I'm wrong .... CFF

The DUCKS had a great run, but in the end, the dream fell short. Some might say they were playing way over their heads - if that was the case, it's too bad they couldn't have continued until the series /w the Devils was over.
Alas ... in the end, the better team won. I really feel sorry for Thomas & Oates - 38 years NHL experience between them, first time ever (for each) to the final ... and they came so close ..... just to see it all fall away.
