So, I take it the championship is still far from over then!!
RacerX, you really should go again with Pabs, you still need to try out the VFX, and I want to know how that one is. I'm actually really eager to get back to Austin to race you in that one!!
As for getting some buddies from my karting club to join, I would love to, but hardly any of them speak English. I'll have to investigate that a bit more, perhaps for next year.

If it wern't against Proboards Terms Of Service (really-talk about dumb rules... LOL), I would say we could all speak Spanish instead... I already know the most important Spanish word... - sorry guys, no disrespect intended at all... I just love that spelling... it looks so cool in English!!!! (I'm easily amused)

ROFL@Wycco!!!
We are actually trying to get a very important and knowledgeable person to join SC. He speaks French, English, German, Dutch and Spanish (his Colombian heritage..). I will not disclose his cursus here but it's impressive, I'll let him explain when he joins - hopefully soon. Most importantly, he would fit right in with his sense of humour.
Did I mention that besides motorsport, his passion is airplanes?
I know he sneaks in to read, so if XXX you read this PLEASE SIGN UP!!!! (and I'll pay for sushi the next time around)

Henrik,
Just an update on the VFX:
It seems the misses will be flying out to Cali (for unfortunate personal reasons), which will leave me FREE with the kids on the week-end AFTER this coming one...soooo...
I'm planning on taking them all to go playing at the track! Of course, I'll have to try out the VFX! So hopefully, in less than two weeks, I'll have some exciting inside info for ya!
BTW- on a sadder (but good note-sad for you, good for Austin-ites) it seems someone has beaten you to the kart track in Austin. As of the day after Christmas, it seems someone opened an inside karting track, computerized to the hilt. They even allow aggressive passing (as long as it's not a blatant "ramming" of your fellow karters)! I've already heard great things about it, but it too is a little pricey. Maybe in the next month or so, I can talk Pabs into joining me for a real karting race? HEY Pabs...did you read that?? LOL!
Alright, signing off for now...
Yours truly, RacerX **Innagural Shamu Croaks Driver's Champion... the 2002 S.C. Driver's Champion... THE Michael $chumacher of S.C. Karting... The Mad Man himself...
(Yes, I will be using this title until the end of the year...lol)
** Now, if I could just afford a flight to OZ(Aj), and New Zealand(JWK & Glendo), and Canada(de silva) etc, etc...then I could really prove my greatness to the world of Shamu...oh yeah, and I desperately need a re-match with cine_man...wuff, a name that will haunt the Mad Man until the end of time, or at least until the re-match takes place...LOL!
On the other hand, I could act like the real Michael $chumacher would, and just ignore those small trivial problems of never beating the likes of them, and just accept my title...regardless of how shallow it is without having beaten those mentioned...wuff, what can I say...M$ is Shamu Karting....LOL!
Oh man, I hope you all know I'm just joking here...
...all in the name of humor!

Actually I told missed this post by Rx!!
First of all, congratulations on your title which you did truly earn. You were an awesome adversary, and I'm looking forward to meeting you on the track again.
Also, I'm really looking forward to hearing about the VFX.
About the indoor kart track, I suppose that's really great news for you Austiners. Pity they hadn't opened it when we were there. That said, my idea was not for a lousy indoor track with kiddie karts, but rather the mother of all outdoor tracks, with real race karts. It can still be done...

Pffffffft,
Fitting champion.........hardly. ;D
If I'd gotten a chance to race him he would have been toast, he won simply based on competing in more events than anyone else. Hehehe. ;D

Rx, I hadn't heard anything about this new indoor karting track, but then again I was out of the country. So where is it going to be?? We need to go there ASAP!! Also, the www.easykart.com guys are asking me if I know anyone who might be interested in representing them here in Austin. I wonder if the track owner might be interested in doing this on the side. It would be a good reason to build a real karting track around here.

Here's the scoop on the newly opened indoor karting track: It's NOT kiddie cars, but it's a kiddie track. Too short, and not enough challenges! Not a single hairpen, all corners pretty much rated in teh "easy" category, save one difficult 270 degree turn. Wuff, that said, I still look to try it out...someday! da silva, I'm coming for you!!! LOL! Wyc, Opps...I can move people around rather quickly, eh? (my apologies to glendo there...) Pabs, let's DO IT! I'll be in touch...(It could be the first S.C. race of the season, and I assure you...the M$ of S.C. Karting will defend his title!) LOL, RacerX ;-)
