it was a 10 yr old kid who brought Lance down. The little guy was wavinghis musset along with everyone else who had banners or flags ro anything that could flap. Lance was just too close to him and the cord of the musset snag his brake lever and pulled the bars out from under him. The poor kid did'nt need to let go, the musset got wrenched from his hands. Probably feels quite bad about it. Knowing lance He'll find the blighter and send him a US Postal one Accidents happen

Yeah I was thinking the same. The riders were going to close to the spectators at that point, and accidents happen.
There are many other cases where the spectators totally invade the road, run like imbeciles next to the riders, stand in the middle of the road in front of them waving flags (hmm, that's a bit like spectators in Portugal for the rally!!). When accidents happen in those cases I think it is fair to blame the spectators. But yesterday's incident was not the fault of the spectator.
However, it looks as if the kid did Lance a favour. Damn he was determined after that fall!!! Who knows, maybe he wouldn't have attacked in the same way if he hadn't fallen...

ahhh it was a kid. Yeah a 10 year old is not gonna do that. But I got to admit it was a perfect snag.

Now that was a messy stage. It looked like a slip n' slide all the way to the end. It kind of sucks ol Ullrich crashed, but he had to push very hard to get any chance of a win. Plus his team car was way too close. Too many times did we see him say back off. That was making me nervous, and we know it was doing the same to him.
