Are through to the Stanley cup! I don't hear any laughing now! This has been a great year for Carolina Hockey... Last month the Greenville Grrrowl won the ECHL cup...(Hockey's league one step below the NHL)... and now Carolina will win the Stanley cup... Ahhh... Go Carolina!!!! : )

Wycco- I don't wanna burst that bubble but Carolina is gonna get smoked in the finals. The East was very weak and when they run up on Detroit of Colorado not even Irbe will be able to handle it. I give the boys credit they have got to the finals but Carolina winning is not likely Predictions- Detroit over Carolina in 5 Colorado over carolina in 6
p.s. the ECHL is not the farm teams, the AHL is for most . More players have come out of the AHL to the NHL then any other league. It is funny i actaully had a buddy that played for greenvile but got traded his name is Ryan Fultz.

I hate to say this but the stanley cup would be seen as a momento that was left by steely dan. I Have hard feelings seeing the cup go to a place where there is no snow

Wycco,
Talk about strange things....(BTW-CONGRATS on the GAME 1 victory!!!).....When the Dallas Stars won the cup, the Houston Aeros won the IHL cup! Freaking weird how that works, eh? Maybe it's a good omen for your Canes??
In all seriousness, I'd have picked Detroit in 5. They are real strong, but it loks like the world has underestimated Carolina hockey...LOL!
OK, now I'll say Detroit in 6! (Sorry bud)
TopContend....ROFLMAO, you must have died when they brought Lord Stanley's Cup to Big D...It was 103 degrees when they were playing a home game of the play-offs that year!!! I laughed my butt of, for it had to be freaking out those Buffalo Sabres....not to mention the rest of the Hockey world! ;-)
Godd luck to both of ya, I have to give the nod to Detroit (Western Conference)...but it would be fun seeing Carolina win one. I followed the Hartford Whalers back when I first discovered Hockey circa 1983??(And I don't particularly care for Connecticutt!!!
LOL, RacerX

LOL- RacerX- if I was a logical man- I would agree with you that Carolina doesn't stand a chance.
However- living in Carolina has left me slightly biased- thus I am going to take the T3 approach.
THE HURRICANES ARE THE BEST EVER. If they lose it is due to inadequate equipment, biased refs, or cheating.
The 'Canes can not lose a legitimate game.
I bet Raleigh is in flames (not Calgary) right now- full of jubilent rednecks cheering about how they beat the redwings!

Well, so far it has been one hell-acious series! The canes are playing their arses off. This has been some of the best skating I've seen in awhile! Both these teams truly deserve to be there!!! What a show!
I knew Detroit was proven, but I was hesitant on Carolina....my how they've proved me wrong! Sorry for not believeing Canes...
Keep it up, it's a super entertaining series, so far!
Later, RacerX

I think the win last game might be the breaking point. Irbe stood on his head for a very long time, and i say he is playing better than Hasek.

Carolina are just waiting for a last minute recovery!
Just in the essence of sportsmanship!

Carolina was playing above their level for some time. The best part of the game was the last few minutes. The fans all cheered almost knowing this was the last game for the canes this year. that is what was great sportmanship.
