OK- I neither understand the complete rules of Baseball NOR the reason anyone would watch it.
But my question is this:
How does one use up all their pitchers?
Are pitchers only allowed to pitch x number of times? I thought they pitched until their shoulders and arms ached too bad to continue...
Or were the poor millionaire babies complaining of hurting shoulders.
Heck- I'm not opposed to teams drawing- but if the rules were changed just for this one match- that is pretty dumb...
One more question... whats this about ANOTHER baseball strike? Are the baseball players all French?

ROFL....oh hell, he we go again....LOL. Baseball....wuff, a wonderful game that is ment to be played, not watched! ;-)
Wyc, there's no limit to the amount a pitcher can pitch...only his physical limitations. The team owners and managers don't want their pitchers throwing too much at the "All-Star" game, because it's just that, an all star game which doesn't count in the standings. They'd look really freaking ignorant if they over used a pitcher then, and had no "go to" pitcher for their next real game that would count in the standings. I say bullcrappy to all of it, for there's planty of pitchers on every team.
Another crock of sh*t brought to you by BUd Selig and the Major League.
I'm voting with TC on this one...if baseball imploded & were never seen again, I wouldn't miss a beat. It hasn't been America's favorite pass-time in over thirty years anyway...as if THAT mattered.
Wuff, RacerX

Yup the cry babies should have thought about what they were doing before they did it. The coaches want to play all the pitchers in an all star game becuase they made the team. However, if you pull him out of the game he can't go back in.
Selig should have relaxed the rule to let the pitchers back in or asked the pro players that were in the stands to grab a mit and get a jersey on.
