well, i have noticed nobody has raised this topic yet... well once again, the games are here, for all beloved countries formerly (and presently) part of the British empire. yes another games where australia literally wipes the slate clean in most fields. ;D this year it is in cloudy manchester, and so far so good. with so many brits and canadians amongst us (as well as aussies) i figured this topic woud have been up already. anyways, it is getting ridiculous. Australia has to calm down. we are too dominiative. people are gonna lose interest if we keep this up. so far the medal tally is: gold silver bronze australia 74 57 54 england 51 46 49 india 32 20 16 canada 26 40 40 cameroon 9 1 2 this is the top 5... notice the dominance of the top 4 (actually india is doing far better than i expected) then cameroon is there with 9.. melbourne plays host to the next commonwealth games in 2006, and being at home, it is gonna be carnage. i dont think i could be bothered going to it, knowing we win just about everything.

America rejected the british monopoly- then became the most prominent country in the world- why does the US want to be a part of something its allready discarded?

Australia has to calm down. we are too dominiative. people are gonna lose interest if we keep this up. LOL- Oh statistics- statistics! hehehehehe- Hey if England, Scotland and wales played under one banner like they do in the olympics- Australia would have had their collective arses kicked... The UK just breaks itself in pieces during the Commonwealth games to make Australia feel special about itself... I mean imagine if Tamania, New South Wales, Queensland...etc...etc... All played as seperate teams... you'ld be competing against the likes of St Nevis... hehehehhehehehehe- lets see what kind of bait I have laid down! ;D

the other reason they are seperated in competition (england, wales, scotland, n.Ireland) is their general dislike with each other.
i hads the pleasure to live with some welsh, and english in the same house.. boy did they not get along. they were seperate countries as far as they were concerned. especially sport. arch rivals when it came to football.
