Sorry Sen- by now I'm sure you've heard Pantano won the F3000 race... He has completely outshone his Durango team mate at both races. Wirdheim came 2nd (I think the only driver to score points at both races!!!! He has an 8 point lead in the DC after just 2 races!!! ) To be fair to Wirdheim though- he deserved the win from the simple fact: Pantano jumped the start by at least half a second- AND NEVER GOT PENALISED! Pantano was great though- completely out paced the field- even Wirdheim fell back towards the end.

By now... ! pft!! I was there!!!!! Not sure about outshone mind. a)Is Giammaria that good? b) Didn't he qualify just behind Pantano at Imola? c) Giammaria was pushed into the barrier by Giebler at Barcelona d) Can someone tell me why he was last in qualie at Barca, he looked fast in warm up? I couldn't see the startline. Grrrrr!!!! I would also have liked to have seen Wirdheim nab him at the first corner, but unforunately the marshals took soooooo long to move Giammaria and Giebler's cars there were yellows there for the first 15 laps or so (they were a hell of a lot quicker with Trulli on Sunday!), so everytime Wirdheim got close it was destroyed in the run down to the first corner. I was cursing big time. Way to go Jaroslav. Luv you as ever!! Magic! He reminds me soooo much of Nando. Ever so much. Kiesa was brilliant. How he kept that thing out of the barriers I never know. That car was awful. He was breaking nearly 100 metres earlier for the corners than anyone else, and he never gave up. Ric disappointed me when he did Though I'm not sure the exact reasons why, can only think it was similar problems to Kiesa. Zsolt was impressive (though only by his standards) - the battle between himself,Nguyen and van Hooydonk was exciting throughout (dad reckonend it was the best bit). For a moment there I couldn't remember who was third... it's ok, it was only toccacelo!!! The race was really good however, and went so quickly! It's been a long time since I watched F3000 proper, and despite their misgivings, the new chassis isn't as bad as I expected. Would have been nice to see Robbie, Gary, and Nicmin though...

LOL...
Sorry didn't realise you were there! LOL
Re: Toccacelo... Didn't see him on TV the whole race- they flipped back and forth between the battle up front and the group of cars behind him. (which BTW- I agree with your dad- 'twas the best part...)
LOL- they changed the colour of the Super Nova car between races- last race it was white! Now its darn near impossible to tell it apart from the Jordans (besides the real wing element)
Wonder what colour they'll be at the next race! LOL... that shouldn't be allowed... too confusing... LOL
