Well i just wanna say that this guy is really nice in person. I went to a gold outing today to help a freind and Tomas was there to golf and sign a few things for charity. he was the last guy to leave. I walked away with a signed shirt, hat, and one of his racing suits. BTW- the FIA has some sort of manufactures seal on that firesuit. I didn't know they deal with CART.
Anyways this kid is tall and skinny. he stands at about 6 foot and is maybe 170 pounds. Sad thing is this ol boy can golf. with some wind and warmer weather he won the longest drive with a 350 yard tee shot!! i hit the ball later when it was raining and cold with wind in my face and i hit it 300 yards, but still i would have had trouble hitting it 350. Plus this A-hole's team won golf outing.
If you guys get a chance to meet him, do. he is nice to everyone and doesn't act like a hot shot. in fact i had no clue who he was until someone told me. i had been joking around with him and his agent on the practice green, and i didn't have a clue.
side note- i see the great one Takagi will be racing in the indy 500. Yes i will get pics for us.

First, 'George' (as we call him - look, when two brothers called Toby and Tomas race in the same categories and your sis can't remember which is which, they get renamed!! ), is a cool guy. He's a bit laddish and loud soemtimes, and I prefer his big bro, but he's a good guy, easy to talk to, a laugh, and very approachable. Toby's the same, except he's a little quieter and more reserved, less confident if you like. You surprise me TC that you didn't recognise him - you didn't think, good god, that guy is almost the image of jody Scheckter??!!! lol!!! Second, The race suit. The FIA are the governing body of international motorsport. No international racing series in the world can go ahead without their say. They have control over organising clubs across the world (asn's) such as the RACMSA (UK,organise the British GP). Also, they have certain responsibilities over safety, as well as road things such as the Euro NCAP crash testing for road cars - seen the stars? There's a bit on the main page of www.fia.com. Similarly, they do testing on race suits. CART/IRL, whatever race series, would not let you race wearing a suit that hadn't passed the required fire safety tests. The FIA will do this for racesuit manufacturers. You find their logo on the back of the neck of most race suits TC - certainly all the major pros (tomas included) will have them. There's a lot more to Max and Bernie than just F1...

yeah behind the neck in yellow is where i found the FIA stuff.
strange thing, I don't think the FIA has any say in the Indy 500. that honor goes to USAC. It sounds odd, but in the old indy 500 glory days, Champ cars had one set of rules, and then the indy 500 had an entirely diffrent set of rules with a diffrent governing body. I recall Penske using a push rod motor made by Mercedes for the indy 500. It was illegal for the champ cars except for indy. Penske dominated, and had like the first 3 positions for start of the indy 500
