Damn it Sen! I thought I had found a team to support! LOL... Who is the top team not associated with the colour red then? Durango? Hmmm, dunno what colour any teams are this year?? Who did Jaime Melo drive for in EuroF3000 last season? I thought they were Durango, and they were definitely red!! lol!! Unfortunately, Wyc, many F3000 teams, both International and Euro, are Italian, so a lot are red... except the ones which are yellow... like Draco!! (I love Draco!!!!). You should probably support Den Bla (circle) Avis. I do They should be winning races, but like McLaren in 1996, they aren't....

Henrik, Pantano – Hmmm… I don’t take dislike to drivers very often, the only ones I do tend to be overrated (in my opinion) by either people in general and/or (and this is worse) overrated by themselves. It doesn’t help if they are arrogant on top of that! That’s not to say Pantano is, he seems like a decent guy – but I get so annoyed when he wins!!! lol! Anyway, in short I think he’s overrated Senn! Wow, thanks for that answer! I can see clearly now where you are coming from with regards to your position on Pantano. So, if Giorgio would have given you a hat, and signed your flag he would be a good guy? LOL, just teasing!!!!! Seriously though, you bring out some excellent points (as always!), and it is a pleasure to read them. Now if I may just comment a bit. I'm in no way a major Pantano fan, but I do believe he does have a considerable talent. The comparison with Trulli is probably a very good one actually, in that he was a revelation in karting. If his career continues to resemble that of Trulli we will see, but I can only say that Trulli has disappointed me by never really being able to be fast AND consistent for a full F1 race. With regards to last year's season, let's not forget what happend in the last few weeks before it started. Pantano was set to drive as teammate to Bourdais, but finally they took on Tiago Monteiro instead. As such, with a few weeks left, Pantano found himself without a car. He signed with Coloni, who had never won an F3000 race before, and he went on to winning I believe the second race of the season. I would consider that a very good start, and certainly proof of his talent. That they messed it up in Monza is of no doubt. Pantano first of all screwed it up on the track in the last lap (or was it the last few laps), as he tried too hard and actually lost positions on track. The team then went on, as you said, trying to win the championship on paper. As despicable as this is, it is the face of racing at that level. You know as well as I how much more sponsor money that could have brought them for the 2003 season...... Nevertheless, if there is a Scandinavian driver around, that's who I'll be cheering for.....so Pantano who?

Henrik, As yet, I don't have a flag for Pantano to sign anyway, and I'm quite picky with my flags, as poor Ernani Judice has yet to be allowed to sign it!!! Your Trulli discription seemed quite accurate I think. And I would think Pantano may be heading in that direction... in some ways a good thing, some ways bad (disappointing I guess). To be honest I had forgotten about the wrangle at the beginning of last season, but I remember now clearly that you mention it. I felt a bit for Pantano in that one, but it was difficult to understand exctly what was going on at least, with both sides blaming each other for everything.. what's new?? However, I wasn't surprised when he started winning races for Coloni. They have never done too badly, and Rodrigo Sperafico never looked unlike winning a race in 2001, even though he didn't. I would have said yes, Pantano would win races with Coloni in 2002, simply because Rod could have done in 2001, and theoretically, Pantano, a better driver, in his second season should have bettered Rod's performances. Not trying to take anything away from Pantano there, but that's how I see it. He did a good job last year, and was much better in his second season than his first. Unfortunately, with those results, this season is not looking to promising for the guy, unless he picks up from Imola. Who knows, we will see....
