Pabs,
Be careful with what you are getting yourself in to! Here's a quote from that FHM interview:
Mind you, then she goes on to say:
I mean, you are a Latin sex bomb, aren't you Pabs?! (That's what Greg keeps telling me!!)

Well done Paul Tracy! Seb screwed it again, but he is fast and I'm sure he'll get a couple of wins this year. Danica................WOW, I'd like to drive her..........car. Getting my coat.

PT seems to be walking away with it for the start of the season! Good for him, and well deserved for a true racer.
Bourdais is indeed very fast, but he still makes too many mistakes. Granted, they again messed up his pit strategy, and he was forced to charge like a madman to make up the positions. It was incredible to see (yes, I have now obtained a VHS of the race!) how he closed in quickly on the others, only to go straight in corner 1, and then finally damage his car. His time will come, but I receall seeing him make similar mistakes in F3000 when under pressure.
I suppose the Champcars are a bit of a handfull in comparison to the F3000s though.
Junky and Haberfeld are still going at it, and it seems Junky is really messing up his races by fixating on Haberfeld. Then there was Yoong, doing a Takagi in the pitlane! Funny stuff! Must be the missing traction control... ;D

Heck- I bet they could get y'all ooohing and aaahing after SisterLisa if they tried! LOL Danica, is cute, yes- but let's not forget- the non-airbrushed pics are the real ones... not the FHM ones...

Thanks Wyc, I thought the Toyota Atlantic pic didn't look anything like her!!!!!! If you want Pabs, I'll scan you in the 'boxing gloves' article from the PowerTour when I get chance, I'm sure you'd like that. And I promise not to go on about the fact she's not as good as Westley Barber... lol!!

Sure Senn!! That would be great Many thanks.... About her being not as good as Westley Barber, well I really know very little about the guy, but you probably saw them race together when she was in the UK so I take your word. Still, I have got faith in her...and Bobby Rahal does too so that tells you something.

Senninha, have you seen Wes lately?? I haven't seen him for quite a while, I think we were testing a Kart he was racing in the Daytona Endurance Challenge, we couldn't make up our minds on which chassis to buy, so we called his Dad and all met up and tested his Kart back to back with the Piranha chassis we anded up buying. Has anybody not mentiones Darren Manning yet here ? He's had some real goood drives through the pack, just a shame he keeps making the "BTCC" overtaking moves on everyone, Big Jimmy was not too impressed on Sunday..... Trickie

Hasn't he started racing in the US in FF2000 or something similar. I recall reading in a recent issue of Autosport that he'd won something in US single seaters, but I wasn't impressed that you could go and win the UK National FFord championship and then disappear to America and win races in something not as competitive. Anyway, he's definitely not one of my favourites, and I think he's taken a likening to FFord, because he did F3 for the second half of the season in 2000 (replacing Juan Manuel Lopez (yes he was bad!!) as Antonio Pizzonia's teammate at Manor). I recall he didn't do a bad job at the last round at Silverstone that I went to, but I wouldn't say he was anything special. He wound up in 2001 taking a step back (or forward as Pabs would think) as Danica's teammate in FFord with Haywood, before joining the works Van Diemen team last year. He was quite dominant last year, but for his experience you woul expect that... I prefered Jan Heylen (teammate, hilariously funny, and cool name!! lol!) Has anybody not mentiones Darren Manning yet here ? He's had some real goood drives through the pack, just a shame he keeps making the "BTCC" overtaking moves on everyone, Big Jimmy was not too impressed on Sunday..... I wish I could still watch CART I like Darren Manning. He's a good local guy (for me anyway!) and he's always done really well on very low finances. He always makes me think of Darren Malkin too (who raced single seaters in the UK in the mid-90's) - off topic I know, but does anyone know where Malkin ended up?? I think I recall him racing GT's in recent years, but I could be thinking of Jacky van der Ende or someone else instead.

Yeah, I'll have to remember to do that at the weekend Not wanting to put a damper on things, but Bobby also had faith in Jaguar.... Katharine Legge is probably the most talented woman to have raced in the UK national single seater championships in recent years, although I don't think she's quite as 'glamourous' as Danica, and she has had many problems with sponsorship... but hey what do I know?! I only look at driving skills!! Even with the guys... LOL!!

Yeah right! ;D As to Bobby having faith in Jaguar, I believe that he signed on before the brought in Lauda to mess everything up. If Ford had let Bobby run the team in his guise, I honestly think the Jags would be further up the grid today, and maybe Pizzonia would be in a better position! Employing Lauda was a major mistake from the Ford bigshots, but then again, those guys making the calls probaly don't know a thing about motor racing. I would assume they simply agreed because they had heard the name Lauda before..... But, again, to temper Pabs a bit, I would venture to say that Bobby's backing of Danica is not only down to her talent, but also to the increased publicity she brings to his team. Being a team manager also implies being a business man. I would think that Minardi would have preferred hiring a driver with more talent than Yoong last year if it wasn't for the money. And let's not even talk about how a Deletraz managed to get in to an F1 car......Money still makes the (F1) world go round. Since I'm on the CART thread (Bridgestone Present the Champcar World Series powered by Ford!), it was with great concern that I read that Bernie is likely to buy 50% of CART! Oh well, it was fun as long as it lasted....Hasn't he done enough damage to the motor sport world?
