Good for you, glendo. Have a BTW, the closest I ever got to being in the Navy was when I took part in a pantomime that goes by the name "Dick Whittington goes to London". I was the subject of the song: "What shall we do with a drunken sailor?, what shall we do with a drunken sailor? ....... ear-lie in the morning!"Oh yeah!

You know how you can recognize an Aussie in a Submarine ?
He's the only one who brought a parachute.

LOL! thanks guys. just for the record, i am taking up the career choice for ther travel etc. not for the military gung-ho shit. my anti-americanism will flourish amongst the aussie navy, as we regularly whoop them at tactical exercises i hear. in fact, i have learnt that they havent beaten us at sub warfare exercises for 20 years! i think it will be around 4 weeks until i am shipped off, but i will get a chance to say goodbye, then i will have "blackout status" for a while. the good news is that i am off to adelaide in 3 weeks, so i will get to meet rick1776, and catch up with Aj. maybe the 3 of us get together and do some of this= :-Xwhich would make me

In the Navy? Wasn't that a village people song.........Soooo gay! LOL. Watch out for giant squid and kamikazis! Does this mean they will teach you how to drink Rum? I hope you don't get the scurvy.

Way to go Glendo!!
Only problem, even if they won the America's Cup, Switzerland does not have any sea access, so you wont be able to sail up and see us here.
I suppose that means we'll have to go back down under again. Or maybe catch you while you pass through some other major European port.
By the way, do you have any idea on what type of ship you will be sailing on?
