Okay guys and gals, seeing how the December FPOTM got a bit messed up due to some access problems, it is unclear who actually won. I believe the four that were present saw that it was I who was first, but when the forum is now looked at, da Silva appears as the winner, even with a 2 second delay!!
So, I ask you, who is the winner for December?

Um, wasn't it me...
Henrik,
When the computer calculates the winner, it decides based on post #, not when it was posted (although the two should be in the same order)...
... I screwed up when creating the database- I should have made it so that the post # HAD TO BE UNIQUE... (I can still make this change- and will make this change- but it effects multiple web pages- so I'll wait until after the new year so I don't mess up the hard raging FPOTD competition)
I wasn't around for the December race- but I've heard from multiple people that Brinkster was running EXTREMELY slowly- hence how da Silva managed to get the same post number despite being 2 secs off.
Obviously, you did win. But at the same time, I don't want to open myself up to challenges every month if people DISAPPROVE of how the computer JUDGES the race.
Nonetheless, since it is obvious you did deserve the crown this month- AND there is no WRITTEN rule that the computers decision is final- AND It doesn't effect the championship much; here is what I propose:
I change your result from a 2nd place to a 1st place finnish. Da Silva- keeps the same # of points but is not credited with a win...
Is Everyone OK with this compromise?

Hey Wycco!
Not to worry about fixing the site! I think you spend way too much time for us as it is, which is in a way why I started the poll. Well, I also thought it would be fun to see RacerX trying to claim victory, and probably lobby for other poster's votes! LOL!!
Now, as for declaring me winner, giving me the 10 points, and leaving 10 points for da Silva, I suppose that could be fair, especially since it wouldn't change anything for the end results. I checked using classic F1, and for both driver's and constructor's championships, it doesn't change.
Let's just see what the others might have to say...especially RacerX!!

Well-
There is one major thing that this effects...
3rd/4th place in the championship!
Currently daSilva has 3rd and PK has 4th...
They both have 33 points- but daSilva has one extra win.
What I propose is: letting daSilva keep his 10 points (since the computer DID credit him as first despite being 2 secs behind you)- but not be credited with a win... thus daSilva AND PK BOTH share 3rd place.
BTW- RacerX Deserved the win- I'm sure he posted first- but deleted his post by accident before anyone else had a chance to post... RacerX is the deserved winner!

NO NO NO -----
da silva should be disqualified for double posting and Henrik should be disqualified for protesting on Shamu.
That leaves my partner as winner of December FPOTM. Waahoooo....
.....ohh .....and I think double points should be awarded for the first two places as the site was so slow.

Mmmmm,
OT you're not endearing me to your team. I still haven't made my decision for 2003. And TWR failed me in preventing Pabs from getting a point in December which would have afforded me second in the Championship. 33 points from five events, if I had competed in all nine the Championship would have easily been mine OLD MAN.

hehehe..... way to go da silva..... I like a bit of fight in my team mates - with that attitude - you're more than welcome aboard the winning team. Yeah those TWR's aren't worth p***ing on.....
See if you can catch me in 2003.....

That's just unbelievable Da Silva...I posted several hours late and still got a point. You really think about switching teams...perhaps you should look into Almighty...we're just better and better looking

Henrik, Do you really trust Da silva's judgement in this matter anyways? We need a female's opinion
