I wonder wot happens to the text within the tag Mo, code is alot like the quote tag. It'll put everything in a box to seperate it from the main text of the message. Unlike quotes, you can quote a code tag (when you click 'quote', it doesn't quote the quote... but it will quote the 'code' tag- as seen above.) * If the above statement sounded confusing- try this- click 'quote' on this window- notice when it quotes my message how Mo's Quote above is omitted, but the Code tags I use below arn't!Another difference is "Code" defaults to a courier font- (every character has the same width... ie 'i' takes up the same space as 'w') Compare these two examples... Not Courier: www iii Courier: www iiiNow In Code Tag: www iii
See- they line up... they're in a Courier font.
The purpose behind the "Code" UBB-Code was to make it quick and easy for people to share code, and for it to be displayed in a readable manner...

[glow=red,6,300][/shadow]BEWARE![/glow]The code tag doesn't like smileys!!! ;D LOL- yes theres a reason for that- the reason the UBB people came up with it was to allow programmers to share code... Very few smiley faces in any programming language I've ever learnt!!! ;D 10 If i > 5 then 20 30 Else 40 ;D 50 End If ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey Wyc... No way I could type [ code ] again and lose a nice If I am not wrong there used to be a 'flash' button, and now it has disappeared from the menu... I have tried two different syntax constructs from other ubb forums here, but didn't have any luck when invoking them to make flash animations work... I wonder if there is any Proboards page with the list of available tags/syntax rules or the functionality is limited to the buttons (the url tag, for example can be expanded to include the description of the link ;D, but the quote link is still a bit too cryptic to me yet when trying to play with the parameters.) I would love to be able to play flash animations! ;D
