Happy 85th Birthday, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. 18 July 2003. Madiba Quotes"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.""I dream of an Africa which is at peace with itself.""Let there be work, bread, water, and salt for all.""There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires.""A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.""If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.""If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.""We must use time wisely and forever realise that time is always ripe to do right.""After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.""Money won’t create success, the freedom to make it will.""The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."Should you like to read a transcript of a programme which is to be televised locally on Sunday, use this link: www.mnet.co.za/CarteBlanche/Display/Display.asp?Id=2274It offers a fair amount of insight into who Madiba really is and why he is considered an icon by so many.

Happy Birthday Mandela, same as my sister's.

No, wehave enough of those, but I'm sure in future it will replace one of the others I'll to that. I was thinking about exactly the same topic a little earlier on today. The legacy of the man is just too much to allow it to fade away. Yes, I agree. Madiba day will be one that I will definitely honour.
