An extreme right-wing politician put the motion forward. This is a politician from a Country that not only legalizes the killing of whales, but, allows a moronic individual like T3, Internet access. Typical Bush/Blair supporter I suppose. The main crux of his argument; “in 10 years time Iraq could have had weapons of mass destruction and attacked Israel”. Say’s it all really.

Booo!!!!! Hissss!!!!!
I'm not convinced the war was wrong (although Bush went in for the wrong reasons)...
... but when you nominate someone who didn't even try the peacefull alternatives (even if it they were unlikely to be successfull) you ain't no deserved peace prize winner!
Once more....
Boooo!!!!! Hisssss!!!!!

Anyone can be nominated, I guarantee that neither Bush or Blair will win the Nobel prize. Exactly how does one go about nominating someone? I'm in the mood for nominating someone???

Thousands of people around the world, including members of national parliaments, professors of history, law and politics and former laureates can make nominations for the prize. The nomination process is secret, but people sometimes publicise their choice.

well, it is ironic. However, I wouldnt deny the service they have actually done to the Iraqi people as a whole.
As it is, we cant see into the future, the world could turn out to be less peaceful, or it could be that had the war not taken place there might have been some future nuclear holocaust.
You obviously cannot nominate someone based upon a pre supposed future state that may or may not have happened based upon your suppositions.
The peace prize, NO The tough law and order, or even war prize, YES

Could we maybe nominate Shamu for the peace prize? Or how about the Shamu community?
Problem with the peace prize is that it has become far too political over the years. Remember in 1994 Yasser Arafat, Shimon Peres and Yithzak Rabin.
