I hope you're all wrong, and that this is just North Korea jockying for help...sort of a Nuclear bribe kind of help. It worked a few years ago, to the tune of $% Billion in aid....maybe they're just coming back for more? This IS a dangerous game, eventually the payer tires of paying & will END the game.
This guy is a bit of a nut, but everyone's starting to look like a nut these days...LOL!
H'mm...wonder how far this guy will push to get the aid they so desperately need?
Yet again, another dictator running his country into the dirt, while he lives high on the hog, his people suffer.
Just another jack-ass.

Also, to add to that...
His timing is perfect, he knows the US is putting many, many resources towards the Middle East right now, so I'm guessing he feels Bush will have to pay up this round, so why not go for a king size GIANT pay-off?
Now we'll have to wait and see if the UN & Bush pay him off, or if they decide the game is over...
I'm sure ths will get dragged out for many months, until the US can afford to relocate resources to the penninsula...

i doubt america will hit north korea. it's a poor country with no oil reserves that i know off. i can't see america hitting nort korea then installing a government there and supporting that government/feeding it's starving citizens. perhaps they may shove that responsibility on the south koreans.
think about it, it only serves dubya's interest to keep americans living in fear. i see a new investment (read kickbacks) in star wars. he's already made for life and all future generations with the investments (read kickbacks) that the oil companies are going to give him if they get to "repair" the old oil wells and drill the new ones in iraq. not bad for a redneck. i only hope that not too many people are killed for this. it would be sick to see american soldiers die so that their president grows rich and fat and tragic to see iraqis slaugtered because of one man's madness and the another man's greed.
my 2 paisa worth anyway. smokingun

From the BBC this friday:
"The United States has said it does not intend to press for immediate sanctions against North Korea. The crisis over the Stalinist state's nuclear programme was referred this week to the UN Security Council, which could make such a move. Pyongyang has warned it could hit US targets across the world American envoy Richard Williamson insisted that the US - which pressed for the council's involvement - was still keen to solve the crisis diplomatically. But North Korea said his remarks were untrustworthy, and maintained that the dispute could only be resolved by direct negotiations between Washington and Pyongyang. North Korea has previously warned that it would regard the imposition of sanctions as a declaration of war."
So...it pays to be an agressive paranoid rogue... Point well taken by Iran, which is restarting it's nuclear programm....
