Cine - I apologize in advance if you've already explained this somewhere, but for those who look at your numbers above and go ?HuH? ... would you mind explaining? I mean ... after the 5th race, you've got a 29 behind JW and a 26 behind JVil. What's the significance?

uh,.... oh..... ahem....
I look at the FIA classification, then award 10 points to the first person to DNF, 9 to the second, and so on... Everyone who DNF's gets a point, even after the 10th, which is more common than one would anticipate... so there may be three or four races in the season where several drivers will get a "1"... its not statistically significant where there are 170 points available on the season, and does recognize that special effort that a driver has made.
Monaco is a good race for at least a dozen retirements. The driver at the top is the one to watch for earliest and most spectacular exit from the event! At one point in 2001, Mika Hakkinen was tied for top honours with E Bernoldi!
I usually try to post a nice table with Wycco's Alternate F1 Championship site... WHICH SHOULD BE LINKED UNDER SHAMULINKS! but that isn't at full speed yet this season... I think he has a few other things on the front burner at the mo'
