Okay, got to watch the F3000 race today as Eurosport has finally reached an agreement with the FIA as to TV coverage.
Bourdais had yet again qualified on pole, so that makes it three out of three so far this year. He is really doing well, and after his Imola victory I expected him to take first place today again. That was without considering the man on third spot on the grid, Pantano.
As the lights went out, Bourdais got a mediocre start, and cut across to the right in order to block Enge who was in second. It was impressive to see how close behind him Enge then slipstreamed until the first corner. They batlle for a while, until actually third place Pantano surprised Enge. As of this point, Pantano would be all over Bourdais for the rest of the race.
Lap after lap, corner after corner, Pantano would look for a place to pass, only to fail as Bourdais very efficiently closed all gaps. Then in the last lap, in a tricky right hander, Bourdais made a mistake and went straight. That was all Pantano had been waiting for, and he went through to claim victory, closely followed by Enge. Bourdais made it home in third, saving his day.
I don't suppose tomorrows F1 race will come close!

Man I feel sorry for Pizzionia today! That must hurt!!
Still, Pantano had a great race, and after his victory in Barcelona he is bringing the Coloni team to new heights. Third in the championship! I just wish the car wasn't so red!!

Well that was an exciting final race, and especially the final lap!
Great driving from Pizzionia passing a Pantano who couldn't deal with the pressure. And the final victory to a fellow countryman! It was strange to hear the Swedish national anthem after a race again.
Now the question still remains, will Enge actually get the title, or with the judges decide to let Bourdais have it?

Speed Channel to show all F3000 races on same day for 2003. This is great news.
