rarely watch TV these days. before when i could hook up the cable to my pc i would watch some tv while doing something else. since i changed residenses and my pc went kaput can't do that. mostly watch the news (BBC) while having breakfast. but if i were to name some of my fvourite serials, here goes:
1) MASH. it made me laugh and cry and no matter how many times i watched a repeat it still had the same effect. lot of the fun went out after hot lips got married and that jingoistic idiot frank got a breakdown and had to head home.
2)Allo Allo: an english serial about the french during WW2. this was so damn funny i could never watch it if i had an attack of asthma. in fact they should have put in a warning for people who have breathing problems about watching this show.
3) 3rd rock from the sun.
4) fawlty towers
5) mind your language
among the non humour: 1) JAG - Catherine Bell is a babe, nuff said
2) Pretender - about a genius who could be anyone he wanted to be. does anyone know if he managed to find his mom in the end?? please please tell me.
sports: just F1 and whenever i is flippin channels and i get to see some rally clips, i love rally, but i don't think we get to see much of it here. IMO rally is much better than F1 from the spectator point of view. i would love to watch CART just to see what it's like.

Lol Danny, i was going to take issue with you over Man U, but then i spotted you're a Milwall fan, so instead, I'm going to back away slowly, smiling and nodding! Poor Mika! I know I shouldn't have laughed, but I did! and every time I think of it, I still smile! We have a reality tv prog here called: I'm a celeberity! Get me out of here! where a bunch of celebs ( not very big names ) were sent to the jungle and had to survive. I was glued to that, they had sooo many arguments! We actually have a UK sitcom on that is quite amusing too, called Hardware! Mostly I much prefer the American ones, but this is pretty funny. Totally agree about the X files - loved that prog, but it was way too much doom and gloom at the end, and I cannot believe they killed off the 3 geeks!!!!! I no longer watch ER, or Friends - I loved them, but I get bored after a while, and Er was never the same after the lovely George left! I also need to confess that I'm a closet Neighbours addict - I feel its best to come clean Mind you - I loathe Eastenders Brookside, Corrie, (well, Trickie Dickie was fab ) Hollyoaks, all the others!

I don't watch a whole lot of TV either. But let's see: I watch footie if there's an interesting match on a given day, never miss F1, or my favorite show of all time: The Simpsons.
Other than that I can't say that I follow any other show.

"Only Fools And Horses" is perhaps the best sitcom ever made... I wish they played it in the states! Still- "The Simpsons" is fun, also, I must give the sit-com "Scrubs" two thumbs up- Scrubs is the best new comedy in years (OK season 2 is over- but its still pretty new). I loathe: Soaps, Pseudo Soaps, and teeny-bop Soaps... People who make/watch that crap should be executed (IMO). Naturally I watch F1, I have done for years religiously (except for last year when I became a motor-racing atheist- and refused to watch the last half of the season!) I really don't like much on TV... Headline news on my lunch break, F1 every other weekend- and NBC's Tuesday and Thursday Comedys. BTW- Liverpool is the Footie team everyone should support!

Lol I am the only person I know who LOATHES only fools and horses! I hated it when it 1st came out, I have hated it during the thousand-odd repeats!
Dads army, is another one - I never liked it, why do they keep running it?
I forgot to mention a show i love though: malcolm in the middle!!!! My son and I have cried with laughter watching that prog!
The Simpsons! where would we be without them? fabulous cartoon, just the best.

The office: a mockumentary programme that has me in tears of laughter every time. Sopranos:quality Scrapheap: 2 teams competing to make the best and most fantastic machines each week out of a junkyard full of scrap. the world cup: nuff said The Family guy: funny as hell toon. Faulty towers: The german episode was hilarious! Mash: great show Wycco- theres a liverpudlian bus driver on one of my frequented routes that allways pulls me up about the soccer and rants on about how great Michael Owen is, and robbie fowler and the rest... he used to like David James as well(when he was the keeper) but turned sour on him when he left He used to bitch- and still does- about how overrated beckham is... i gotta agree ;D

I hated Beckham before the '98 World Cup, and even more after it. However by the end of '99 season, he had proved to me, and I think a lot of others, how much he had matured and since that time has gone on to be a tribute to all that is good about English Football and England, both on and off the field.

When I watched Beckham come off that pitch, and saw his face, I was gutted for him - even now its hard to watch. If he should leave to play for Real Madrid, then i think its fitting he should be in a team with the best in the world, becuase in my mind, hes right up there with them.

I would like Beckham to go to Arse-nal, that would really rub that drunken bum Fergeson's face in it.

Hogan's Heros was another good series - although a little more obtuse than MASH.
Stalag 17 - good movie....
...if you're interested in that sort of thing, try getting a hold of Paul Brickhill's book "Escape from Colditz Castle" and many others of the like. It's a real eye opener to know what actually happened....
