Your middleweight was, Bob Fitzsimmons ("Ruby Robert")
He beat “Gentleman” Jim Corbett by a KO in the 14th round in Carson City Nevada, on the 17 March 1897
Here is a little bit of BIO on him;
Fitzsimmons is rated among the greatest fighters that ever lived. He held three World Championships during his career -- Middleweight, Heavyweight, and Light Heavyweight. Some sources, including Fitz himself, claim he had over 350 fights, but this may be an an exaggeration. In the ring, Fitzsimmons moved quickly and hit hard from all angles. He took on much larger men without hesitation. Nat Fleischer ranks Fitzsimmons as the #3 All-Time Heavyweight; Charley Rose ranks him as the #1 All-Time Light Heavyweight; Fitzsimmons was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990

Some guy Kicked Wladimir Klitchko ass last night. These brothers have never proven to me that they are all round fighters. THe seem like hard hitting, half technical, clumsy, and glass jawed heavy weights. Last night showed this

Speaking of boxing, a sport I really know nothing about (except that Sweden had a heavy-weight champion back in the early 60's with Ingmar Johansson beating Floyd Patterson), but I saw this French boxer on TV the other night with a great name! Jean-Marc Mormeck. His last name is pronounced the same as the words "mort mec" which means dead dude!! Back so more interesting activities...

man what a great end to a trilogy. the Gatti vs Ward battle shows how 2 guys can beat the hell out of each other and both walk away winners

Ahh there is good news for Lennox Lewis. The guy he was gonna fight tore a muscle and guess who might step in, Klitchko. Klitchko was gonna be on the undercard, but since this guy is not fighting, he might get moved up.

YAY!! It's on!!! Lennox Lewis will fight Vitali Klitchko on the June, 21st. Hmm, wonder who of the guys will get his ass kicked....LOL! But one thing is for sure: it will never be a fight over 12 rounds, the guys will beat the crap outta each other.... Dunno, who is better. I mean, Lennox is really getting old but Vitali has not impressed in his latest fights. If you ask me both would lose right now against Mike Tyson, although he lost twice against Lennox. Well, the talking is over: LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll put my money on Lennox (from Kitchener), he's a real boxer and his skills are way beyond what Klitchko has.
