india should pack their bags and return home. the sorry bastards would lose even to an all girl team from france. instead of whining over stuff like player contracts and sponsorship money the idiots should have concentrated on the most important part of the game, that being how to play it. i doubt anybody would even feel like having their products endorsed by a bunch of losers.
new zealand, great game. i didn't see it but i read all about it.
da Silva, i suppose cricket doesn't get any more boring then baseball.

The USA sponsors the wrong people for Curling. If you want a fast squeegie team get one of those guys on NYC that can clean your windows between traffic lights. Those guy have talent.
As for baseball being boring, i think this sport is the biggest joke. we pay 250mil to have some nut run, catch, hit, and throw a ball only to have them bitch that they are not making any money. It is not rocket science, but then we still get seats filled

cricket is seen as a religion in my country. and for the life of me i can't figure out why. all the players are interested in is the money same like baseball i guess. indian cricketers may be the highest paid in the world but what is the point if we lack decent infrastructure at the grass roots? Dalmia is a prick and so are all the rest. all they are is eager to cash in while the going is good and not bother at all.
well i couldn't give a rats arse, F1 is the sport that i love. cricket can go fish. i only have one ardent wish from the world cup and that is that namibia trash our sorry butts.

SG, In my experience, "Youn Goans" are more into football than cricket. I played in a team with a, Stanley Fernandez, from your part of the world.

Namibia beating India LOL i kid you not. if the stakes as in betting money is high enough, the greedy bastards will lose to the namibia pre-primary school girls team. and there is an element of cheating in the last game against zimbabve apparantly our oh so talalnted batsmen used bats broader than the allowable limit. if that is not cheating to get an undue advantage then i don't know what is.

SG Don't talk to me about cheating - Remember the whole Hansie Cronje (RIP) match fixing scandal? I hate the fact that gambling can actually affect the outcomes of sports games. It makes me sick - for a long time after that, I couldn't watch cricket. Oh gee, there I go being all idealistic again. Funny thing about Hansie Cronje though - after "Hansiegate" he was a national pariah. Then he dies, and the whole country treats him like a hero. Right now there are many people saying things like "I wish Cronje was still captain". Did they forget that he was the most dishonest cricketer in SA history? Anyway, I actually kinda liked him even after the whole scandal. Like Jules in Pulp Fiction said: "Personality goes a long way" and that's something cronje had much more of than Sean Pollock...

what happened to hansie was a crying shame. his only mistake was that among all the greedy cheats that includes cricketers from most countries, he was the most honest and admitted his mistake.
