Yes Aj, my shrink keeps telling me to be positive. She says that it really helps to occasionally get out there and kick someones arse ...really hard. At least my little dog will be happy for the next few days....

Ha.
Do you know what I like? Intelligent conversation.
I just left F1-live, read the list of topics, went back and read them again, but this time looked for shamu posters, remembered OT and MS...7 Times...and found that it was more fun to read OT "blue" posts and try to figure out where the other persons logic (IMO)went wrong.(LOL)
I feel that we here are basically mature (sorry for the whole "anti" thing again.), intelligent "individuals". Why is it so difficult for others to realize that having your own opinion is a good thing? I don't want everyone to think the same way I do. How boring would that be! They are in a constant struggle to get their opinion across, that they don't even realize that they are SCREAMING. It's like they start an idea without thinking about it, and then when they realize that they could be wrong they defend it to the bitter end.
I pity T3 et.al, they are probably normal people who can't let there ego take a hit. They would rather fight to the end to be "Right" then look at things from a different perspective and be "happy". I wonder if any of these people were ever sitting in front of "us", in person, if they would fight and argue as hard? It's like as time goes on they become less opened to other opinions because that would go against the "persona" they portray. I think that is the key point. I begining to think that these aren't "real" people. Could you imagine if some of these "people" were your parents??? AJ...take note(LOL).
I wish there was something we could do. Any ideas? I know that starting quality posts is the ideal thing, but unless it can be turned into a M$-vs-whatever fight they seem to go away quick. Maybe we need to support each other more in the F1-live forum. Maybe the answer isn't spending less time there, but more.

dudes, I haven't read the most recent posts on this issue since page 4 )I think) as I have been heaps busy and blah blah blah but did get to watch Sepang and jump on f1-live.com forum. This is when Frustration crept over me like a plague of killer bees, buzzing and stinging all at once!!
Anyway, I'm sorry if I have repeated anything anyone said earlier but I'm sure you guys can share with my frustration with f1-live.com discussion forum at the moment.
With sepang looking almost like scalecclestonelectrix (I can't believe Schumichael's L.U.C.K!!!) and what about renault??? F&*K what bad luck for Jenson. and. and. the tv director and the mercedes prob? Anyway, to top off the frustrations, I have read some really lame posts from ye ol' f1-live.com and I just wish people will think for about 20 seconds before they storm onto the keys and write a concerto with harmonious praise for the all great schumichael or Montoya or whoever...
It really is like talking to a brick wall when people try to voice their opinions and interpretations. some of the guys make their own opinions and interpretations of a particluar segment of a race and register in their brains this deception that it is 'truth' and/or 'fact'. It's crazy... my one and a half year home swarmed with speedtyping freaks with no motive other than to destroy the image of all other drivers they dislike. It really suck arse at the moment.... really does
I'm sure I'll get over it though!!!
Sorry if I haven't replied to any posts previously.... I will soon.
:x wongster

Just signed out from F1-Live for good. I know about pop-up stoppers etc., and I tend to use one. However, I am just really tired of F1-Live, be it the amount of garbage there, and the attitude of the site itself. No matter, there are other forums around, and there is Shamu I actually went ahead and signed up for the forum at motorsport.com, seeing that I have been reading the posts there for a while. There are some good posters there, and it is split up between F1, CART, F1 etc. Henrik

Wycco, I got 2 more post deleted today. Am I kikking your butt yet? I made the paralell between F1-live's marketing approach and it's journalistic approach.lol BTW The French company that owns the site is not doing too well.

Henrik, I don't blame you one bit. The F1-Live forum has sucked really hard since the beginning of the season, and I have probably made 5 posts in all of four weeks. I will continue to monitor the situation but don't feel much like contributing to the current free for all. GK states that the tech forum is where we should be, perhaps I will check it out. I hope you continue to be a regular here at Shamu as I enjoy reading your opinions. Later, Peter.

I don't like to say this ...but I am just about out F1-Live myself. I consider myself a pretty tollerant person, but F1-Live has just about pissed me off for the last time. The abusive use of pop-up ads is the last straw. Even though I am using pop-up killer, I really don't need to endure the incesant flashing of screens being killed while reading through the copious quantities of crap that abounds on F1-Live forum at the moment.
Although this method doesn't fall into the category of "spamming" - pop-up ads is the next worse thing.

Hey guys, let's stick together. I stayed in f1-live because I thought back then (about a year ago) that it was a good forum in terms of the amount of knowledge of some members (beef, id, even T3 although most of the time he drew wrong conclusions). Then I found the mighty monster and although I didn't post much at first, I kept up with it.
Let's try and find another forum where we can all go and even get another monster started.

Hey Wycco - did you say were going to write your own forum software?
Well get it going dude - I am out of F1-Live. I just can't handle the crap any longer.
Sorry glendo - I know I said that "life" would get better, but I just don't have that belief any more.
As a parting shot I wanted to post the following, but that would only make me as low as them. So to satisfy my own frustration, I'll post it here instead... ---------------------------------------
I am getting a little tired with the complete stupidity of some of the forum members as that they rant and rave with all their blissfully fanatical propoganda. The amazing thing is, that they can be so stupid as to actually believe the cr@p that they spew forth let alone even think that anyone else could honestly believe them. LOL. These individuals, on occasions, even egg other members on. Now that is all fine for "debate", but what really p!sses me off is when these individuals bait somebody, and that somebody comes back with a pefectly logical explanation or reply which shoots them down in flames, and then these "people" just simply crawl back in their hole and ignore the respondant. Now I'm not going to name any names, but T3, you post so much garbage on this forum that you have completely forgotten what a forum is about - it's about discussion - two-way discussion - that's why this forum has gone to crap. There are now, too many people trying to emulate your bullsh!t sessions by either sheer stupidity or by sheer frustration! And if you think that that is some sort recognition, then you are a very sick puppy.
But, the biggest pr!ck of all is Whinger Ron. This individual will go to the extent of either creating a garbage topic that he knows will generate a fight, or create a post that is scathing, harmful and unfactual - and then just disappears up his own @rse. You will note that any thread that Whinger Ron has created, 99% of the time, he will never respond to any other posts replying to that thread. Cowardice - that's the word I'm looking for, this pr!ck, aside from being a tnrd, is a coward!
Come on Ron - you have made a very damaging comment about Jim Clark - I have replied - and I am still waiting for your appology.
You my dear boy are what we on the sea-board refer to as a "floater". That is - a piece of effluent that still manages to survive and rise to the surface even after going through the sewage treatment plant.
Ahhhhhh ...that feels better!
